Hiring a new medical receptionist is more than overdue. When it was just Dr. Fowler, having Amelia working for him was fine, but with three doctors and an increasing patient load, they're starting to grow increasingly concerned that Amelia might sue for emotional distress or whatever overworked employees are calling it these days.
Tamra used to threaten to all the time.
In any case, they've alleviated the potential risk of employee over exhaustion by hiring Clarke. Who is awesome. Mindy is already very much a fan, largely due to her own delusions of being between anywhere between eighteen and twenty-two and needing to work among her peers.
That and the fact that she's not constantly flitting off to do nursing duties like their RN, so it's much easier for Mindy to corner her and flood her with personal questions and the like.
"Oh my god, Clarke, have you ever been to an underground sample sale? I went to the sickest one on my break yesterday. Don't tell anyone that's why I was late back, though, okay? They don't get it."
